Western Michigan running back returns from knee, ankle injury

KALAMAZOO, MI -- A familiar face has returned to the practice field at Western Michigan, and it's been a long time coming.

Levante Bellamy, a redshirt sophomore, tore his ACL and every ligament in his ankle in the fourth quarter of the Broncos' win over Illinois last season.

He said he's been back at full speed since late-January and is pleased with his recovery.

"At first it was hard just seeing the guys out there without me but now that I'm back, I'm just blessed to be back out there with my family and all my friends," Bellamy said.
