KALAMAZOO, MI -- Eager eyes watched intently as the Western Michigan football team scrimmaged Saturday.
That's all the young men who signed to play for the Broncos in 2017 could do while their future teammates took snaps at Waldo Stadium, their looks of determination coupled with smiles in the bright spring sunlight.
Ralph Holley Jr. of West Bloomfield and Dezmond Lance of Armada sat near each other, brought together by a defensive mindset, and watched the action unfold.
"I just can't wait to be here, be on the field again, to play and take my talents to another level," the 6-foot-2, 270-pound Holley said.
