Western Michigan football releases defensive coordinator Tim Daoust

KALAMAZOO, MI - One day after allowing 42 points to a 3-7 Ball State team, the Western Michigan football team announced Wednesday the dismissal of defensive coordinator Tim Daoust.

Defensive line coach Lou Esposito will fill the role for the remainder of the regular season, which wraps up Tuesday, Nov. 20 with a home game against MAC West champion Northern Illinois.

"I appreciate Tim and his family's dedication to the Bronco football family these past two seasons," WMU head coach Tim Lester said in a release. "At this time I felt we needed to go in a different direction.
