Western Michigan falls to CMU, 35-28

Box Score KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan led 21-7 at halftime and 28-14 heading into the fourth quarter, but Central Michigan scored 21 unanswered points to stun WMU, 35-28 inside Waldo Stadium on Wednesday night.

The Broncos dominated the game on the ground, totaling 315 yards, including 228 and two touchdowns from senior running back Jarvion Franklin. The Broncos managed just 42 yards passing however, playing in wet conditions and with freshman quarterback Reece Goddard under center in his first career start.

It was Franklin's third 200-yard rushing game of his career while also eclipsing the century mark for the fourth straight game and 20th time in his career.
