Week 1 trip to USC prepared WMU for 100-degree temps vs. Wagner

KALAMAZOO, MI - Four games are in the rearview mirror of Western Michigan's 2017 football season, and the Broncos are hoping the heat waves are also in the past.

Pregame temperatures on the Waldo Stadium field before Saturday's matchup with Wagner were measured between 114 - 120 degrees, but it was a familiar feeling for the Broncos, who played through triple-digit temperatures in Week 1 at USC when California was gripped in a record-breaking heat wave.

The mercury read closer to the mid 90s at kickoff in Kalamazoo, but the heat index hovered just below 100.
