Western now has a perfect home season with six home wins. There were three major stars of the night, all scoring in the double digits in kills. Freshman outside hitter Rachel Bontrager scored 25 kills, senior middle blocker Sydney LeMay had 15, and senior middle blocker Olivia Kofie slammed down eleven. Defensively, LeMay led the Broncos with nine blocks and sophomore defensive specialist/libero had six overall.
In the first set, Western seemed promising as they started off with a lead of 17-13. However, Kent State came back to tie up the set 20-20 and ended up winning with a close 25-23.
