Following last season, expectations for Underwood were high. After scoring a 9.800 or higher on all four of her events, Underwood set a new record at the Mid-American conference championship. Underwood received a 9.900 on the floor which put her in a six-way tie for second place. On the vault she tied for eighth with a performance that got her a 9.850.
Spence, the 2018 MAC Freshman of the Year also made history as the only freshman to compete in the all-around in every meet this season. Spence averaged a 38.658 score with a RQS of 38.950 placing her eighth in the conference.
