KALAMAZOO, Mich. – "Spring" in the Midwest continues as the originally scheduled contest between Western Michigan baseball and Oakland on Tuesday, April 17 as been canceled due to unplayble field conditions and overnight snowfall. No make-up date has been set.
Despite Tuesday's cancellation, the Broncos will continue its homestand on Wednesday, April 18 with a match-up against Big Ten Conference foe Michigan State. Earlier this season the Broncos defeated the Spartans in East Lansing, 6-1. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. at Robert J. Bobb Stadium at Hyames Field.
This weekend WMU will host in-state rival Central Michigan in a three-game series beginning on Friday, April 20.
