ATHENS, Ohio -- The Western Michigan track and field team got off to a good start on Thursday afternoon at the MAC Championships. The Broncos are currently sitting in seventh place with nine points.
Bri'Yanna Robinson kicked things off with a great showing in the hammer throw. She came into the event ranked sixth, but she was able to earn five points with a fourth-place finish. She had a season-best throw of 56.60 meters, which moved her to fourth all-time in program history.
Following that, Mabinty Kebe, Angel Pratt and Jade Celestine competed in the 400-meter hurdles prelims.
