KALAMAZOO, MI - Clouds lingered and rain spit down on Waldo Stadium on Thursday morning, as Tim Lester ran through the tunnel to begin his first fall practice as Western Michigan's football coach.
Over the press box on the stadium's south side, the sun radiated through blue skies, forming a rainbow above the field.
A sign of good luck?
Lester hopes so, but mostly he was wondering if Waldo Stadium and its surrounding environment was confused to see him running back through that tunnel for his first fall practice since his playing days in August 1999.
