CLEVELAND – As announced by the league office on Monday, Western Michigan men's basketball senior guard Thomas Wilder was named Mid-American Conference West Division Co-Player of the Week.
In two contests against Toledo and Northern Illinois, Wilder averaged 32.5 points and shot 52.8 percent from the field while also going 22-of-25 from the free-throw line. The Montgomery, Ill., native also averaged 4.5 assists and 1.5 steals.
It was a career-night for Wilder against Toledo as the senior guard registered a career-high 40 points on 11-of-24 shooting from the field. Against the Rockets, Wilder also collected five rebounds and four assists and went 15-of-17 from the free-throw line.
