KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan junior outfielder Tanner Allison was drafted in the 19th round and 560th overall by the Atlanta Braves in the 2017 MLB Draft.
Allison, who was named an All-American by both Collegiate Baseball (Third Team) and College Sports Madness (Fourth Team), set the Western Michigan single season RBI record with 68, passing Frank Alferi's previous high of 63 set in 1999. He was named the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Player of the Year, the first from WMU since Scott Conant in 1991, and named First Team All-MAC.
