MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – For the first time since 2013 the Western Michigan track and field team scored in the weight throw at an Indoor Mid-American Conference Championship with seniors Aniya Davis and Taylor Eaton both finishing in the top eight to highlight the opening day for the Broncos.
Davis finished fourth overall after completely crushing her previous personal-best distance, throwing 61' 7" (18.77m) to earn WMU five points. Eaton finished seventh overall after throwing a distance of 59' (17.98m) to earn two more points. Junior Madison Ochs also competed, finishing 12th overall with a distance of 54' 11.
