Stefanick picks up win, then loss in WMU softball's doubleheader split vs. Ball State

Western Michigan softball split their doubleheader on Saturday, dropping the three game series to Mid-American Conference foe, Ball State, two games to one.

The first game was a series of trading blows on offense between both teams. The game ended going eight innings with a final score of Western Michigan 10 and Ball State 9.

Both teams started out the game strong, in the top of the first, Ball State scored two runs off of Bronco starting pitcher Jordan Kurth. In the bottom of the first, the Broncos answered right back with some offensive production of their own as they scored two runs thanks to a two run home run from Sydney Stefanick to tie the game 2-2 after one.
