Softball Takes Series at Ball State

MUNCIE, Ind. – After splitting a doubleheader on Friday, the Western Michigan softball team rallied from an early 1-0 deficit to win at Ball State, 4-2, to take the series against the Cardinals on Sunday afternoon.

Four different Broncos drove in runs on the day, while Jordan Kurth pitched seven innings and struck out seven to improve to 9-3 on the season. WMU is now 22-18 overall and 9-6 in the Mid-American Conference.

BSU scored in the bottom of the first inning to take a 1-0 lead but Western Michigan responded in the top of the fourth inning.
