Softball Splits Doubleheader at Central Michigan

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich.- The Western Michigan softball team split a twinbill at Central Michigan on Wednesday, dropping game one 6-2 and bouncing back with a 4-1 victory in game two. The defeat snapped a nine-game winning streak for Central Michigan.

Western Michigan's record now stands at 20-17 on the season and 7-5 in the Mid-American Conference. CMU is 18-16 overall and 8-4 in the MAC.

Each year Western Michigan and Central Michigan split the annual three-game Mid-American Conference series between Kalamazoo and Mount Pleasant.
