CLEARWATER, Fla. - The Western Michigan softball team split its two games at the USF Under Armour Series Saturday. The Broncos defeated Holy Cross in a 15-0 run rule before falling 3-2 in extra innings to Yale University and ending their four-game winning streak.
The Broncos had their bats cracking in game one against Holy Cross scoring 15 runs on 12 hits including one home run from redshirt junior . Western Michigan got off to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first as senior third baseman drove in on a sac fly.
