Box Score KENT, Ohio- The Western Michigan softball team had a season-high 17 hits in a 12-1, six-inning victory over Kent State Sunday. WMU scored in every inning but the first. With the win, the Broncos improved their record to 14-13 overall and 1-2 in the Mid-American Conference.
Freshman Sydney Stefanick went 4-for-4 with two doubles, two runs scored, and drove in a pair of runs. She hit her first career home run with a solo blast to left field in the sixth. Stefanick also picked up the win in the pitcher's circle, striking out four and allowing just one run over six innings.
