KALAMAZOO, Mich.- The Western Michigan softball team has earned the No. 5 seed in the 2016 Mid-American Conference Tournament. The Broncos will face No. 4 seed Northern Illinois in the opening game of the tournament Wednesday, May 11, at 10:30 a.m. at Firestone Stadium in Akron, Ohio.

ABOUT THE BRONCOS
Western Michigan concluded the regular season with a 21-26 overall, 12-10 MAC record. The Broncos finished second in the MAC West Division, a half of a game behind Northern Illinois (13-10 MAC record). The Broncos were picked fourth in the MAC preseason poll.
