KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan University softball team and head coach Jenny Rohn announced the signing of catcher Gabbie Evans to the program's class of 2023.
A native of Whiteland, Ind., Evans arrives in Kalamazoo after spending her freshman season at Michigan State. Evans saw action in five games for the Spartans and made her collegiate debut in a non-conference tilt against Northern Kentucky. She then collected her first collegiate hit, a pinch-hit, two-run single, in a 4-0 MSU win over Purdue.
Evans played two successful seasons at Roncalli High School and graduated with honors before attending Michigan State.
