KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The National Collegiate Hockey Conference announced its weekly awards, with a pair of Broncos featured. Hampton Slukynsky claimed the Goaltender of the Week award, while William Whitelaw claimed the Forward of the Week honor.
Both played pivotal roles in helping WMU claim the Kwik Trip Holiday Faceoff Championship. Slukynsky was honored as the tournament's Most Outstanding Goaltender and Whitelaw claimed the Most Outstanding Forward award.
Slukynsky ended the weekend with a 2-0-0 record to go along with a 2.00 goals against average and .917 save percentage. He played every minute of the tournament and made 44 saves.
