KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan football wide receiver Skyy Moore has been named the Mid-American Conference Male Scholar-Athlete of the Week, announced Wednesday by the league office.
Moore tallied eight catches for 140 yards and two touchdowns, as the Bronco offense posted a season-high 648 total yards, and delivered a 64-31 Homecoming victory over Kent State on Saturday.
The sophomore Pittsburgh native had a 27-yard touchdown reception on the opening WMU drive, and added a 26-yard score on an acrobatic catch in the third quarter.
The MAC Scholar-Athlete of the Week is awarded to a male and female student-athlete who has a cumulative grade point average of 3.
