AUSTIN, Texas – Western Michigan hockey senior captain Sheldon Dries has signed with the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League, the top affiliate of the National Hockey League's Dallas Stars.
Dries leaves Western Michigan after a stellar four seasons. The Macomb, Mich., native is just one of two Broncos in program history to captain the team for three seasons. He finished his senior season with a career-high 30 points on a career-best 16 goals and 14 assists. Dries led all WMU forwards with a +14 rating in 2016-17 and sniped three game-winning goals.
