COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Western Michigan hockey senior forward Sheldon Dries has been named National Collegiate Hockey Player of the Month for February.
Dries led the NCHC in scoring with 11 points on four goals and seven assists while helping the Broncos to a 5-1-2 record. With the help of Dries, WMU locked up third place in the conference and home ice advantage in the NCHC Quarterfinals for the first time since joining the league. He also led the conference in blocked shots with 21 and faceoff wins with 106.
