TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The College Soccer News committee announced for the week ending on November 19, 2023, that senior captain Charlie Sharp was named the Men's National Player of the Week.
Yesterday, Sharp scored the game-winning goal in the Brown and Gold's 2-1 overtime road win over the 15th-seeded Duke. Within three minutes of the first overtime period, Sharp would rip a shot into the back of the Blue Devil net to propel Western Michigan to a swift overtime victory. His goal would send the Broncos to their second consecutive Sweet 16 berth and third overall appearance in the Sweet 16 in program history.
