COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Western Michigan sophomore Ronnie Attard has been named the Bauer National Collegiate Hockey Conference Defenseman of the Week for his performance in WMU's sweep of Miami over the weekend.
Attard, who earns the honors for the third time this season, had five points in the two wins, scoring two goals and three assists. He also helped the Bronco penalty kill go a perfect 4-for-4.
In Friday's 5-2 win he gave the Broncos a 1-0 lead with his seventh goal of the season, scoring on the power play at 12:12 in the first period.
