WMU football head coach Tim Lester has always told people Ball State’s Mike Neu knows how to recruit talent.
But Lester doesn’t just say that because of the talent Neu brings in as a coach at Ball State. Back in 2001, when Neu was an offensive coordinator for the Carolina Cobras in the Arena Football League, he sought out Lester and brought him on to the team during the offseason.
“I always tell everybody he has a phenomenal eye for talent,” Lester said with a smile during his weekly Zoom press conference. “I was playing arena, he was a young arena coach and he signed me.
