According to Pepper, Goddard, a true freshman last season for the Broncos, will no longer play football. Instead, according to Pepper, he is considering switching to track and field, where he placed highly in high school in Missouri in discus and shot put.
Taking over for sophomore Jon Wassink after his injury against Eastern Michigan University, Goddard went 1-3 as a starter in the final four games of the year, with a 48-20 win over Kent State University. Overall, he completed 46 percent of his passes for 542 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions, while rushing for 57 yards and two touchdowns.
