KALAMAZOO, MI -- If former Western Michigan football coach P.J. Fleck is making moves to acquire the rights to his "Row the Boat" phrase, it's news to athletic director Kathy Beauregard. "We're working on it," Fleck told Khan Wednesday while attending the Bear Bryant Coach of the Year Award ceremony, for which Fleck was a finalist. "There's just some things to go through, and hopefully I'll have the opportunity to bring it with me." Asked Thursday whether she's heard from Fleck or his agent, Beauregard said no.
ESPN's Sam Khan Jr. reported Thursday morning Fleck hopes to take the phrase with him to Minnesota.
