CLEVELAND – The Mid-American Conference announced its baseball weekly awards on Monday with Western Michigan baseball's senior LHP Brandon Petersen being named MAC Pitcher of the Week.
Petersen in his first career start and just the second appearance of the season the lefty threw a career-high seven innings allowing just one hit and striking out a career-high 12 batters in a 10-0 victory over Akron.
The senior LHP became the first Bronco pitcher to throw a complete game since May 17, 2019 and clinched WMU's first shutout since winning 12-0 last season at Alabama A&M.
