CLEVELAND – Western Michigan senior Peter Kuszynski has been named the Mid-American Conference Men's Tennis Singles Athlete of the Week after his performance in WMU's dual match with No. 17 Michigan last Friday.
Kuszynski went 1-0 in singles as the Broncos took on the Wolverines. The senior defeated Michigan's Andrew Fenty 6-4, 0-6, 6-4 to pick up WMU's lone point. He improved to 2-1 in singles in dual matches and 7-6 overall.
Kuszynski and the men's tennis team head to the University of Tennessee for the 2022 ITA Kickoff Weekend. WMU opens the weekend against Memphis on Friday at 6 p.
