KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Senior captain Owen Michaels was selected as the NCHC Forward of the Week, the league announced this afternoon.
The Northville, Mich. native was outstanding in a sweep at No. 7 Denver, tallying four points on two goals and two assists. He also went 51 percent in the faceoff circle, including 26 total wins.
Michaels opened the weekend with an assist on WMU's fourth goal, which was a shorthanded tally to put the game out of reach. He followed that up with a three-point outing, scoring twice and handing out an assist.
