KALAMAZOO, MI - There were "lost dog" signs hanging inside Lawson Arena Tuesday, as the Western Michigan men's hockey team began its morning practice.
"Three legs, blind in one eye, missing right ear, tail broken, recently castrated...answers to the name 'Lucky,'" read the canine description.
But the Broncos players, or anyone inside the arena, would be hard-pressed to find a dog hobbling around the rink because the sign was a message from head coach Andy Murray.
A reminder that even though the Broncos are fighting through injuries, there is no time to feel sorry for themselves.
