KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The No. 8/14-ranked Western Michigan men's soccer team defeated the University of Loyola Chicago 2-0 Friday evening during the 2018 season opener at WMU Soccer Complex.
The Broncos outshot the Ramblers 10-5, owned a 7-3 corner kick advantage, and allowed just one shot on goal. and notched the first Bronco goals of the season, while goalkeeper picked up his second career shutout.
"I thought our effort was outstanding," said Head Coach , who tallied his fourth consecutive season-opening win. "Our ability to compete for 90 minutes was great for the first game.
