The Western Michigan University Hockey team is currently part of the NCHC, one of the most competitive hockey conferences in the country, putting themselves up against teams that are among the top ranks year after year. The NCHC includes Colorado College, the University of Denver, the University of Miami, the University of Nebraska Omaha, the University of North Dakota, St. Cloud State University, the University of Minnesota Duluth, and our own Western Michigan University. The University of Denver won the National Collegiate Athletic Association championship title last season. Giving, even more, respect to the level of difficulty there is when competing in the NCHC.
