Murray earns new contract

Andy Murray, head coach of Western Michigan hockey, has signed a new five-year contract that keeps him at the program until the 2023-24 season. Murray will make $230k per year plus $110k in media appearance fees.

During Murray’s eight seasons at the university he has posted a winning record in six of the eight years. He earned a 136-113-36 (W-L-D) record as a Bronco and has sent the program to two NCAA tournament appearances in 2012 and 2017. Murray was also named the National Collegiate Hockey Conference coach of the year during his 2017 campaign with a 22-13-5 record.
