EAST LANSING - Jordan Walker traded in her blue Muskegon Mona Shores uniform and sneakers for a red dress and high heels on Saturday.
Michigan's Miss Basketball witnessed Flushing top East Kentwood, to win the Class A finals, from a front-row seat inside the Breslin Center but would've much rather been on the court competing instead.
Mona Shores (19-4) reached the regional semifinals but fell to East Kentwood, 57-43, on March 7 at Zeeland East. Walker went off for 28 points in her final game.
"It's bittersweet definitely," Walker said, smiling. "I would rather be out here playing but if (East Kentwood) beat us and made it this far, that says something about our team also.
