CLEVELAND -- The Western Michigan men's tennis team swept the weekly Mid-American Conference honors, with senior Anton Arzhankin earning MAC Singles Player of the Week and Arzhankin and Drew Evans claiming MAC Doubles Team of the Week.
Arzhankin and Evans went 2-0 in doubles play against Purdue and Illinois State. Against the Boilermakers they defeated Nour Fathalla and Stefan Simeunovic 6-1 at No. 2. Against ISU they earned a 6-1 win at No. 2 over Tom Bevan and Christian Capacci.
Arzhankin went 2-0 in singles over the weekend. He was responsible for WMU's lone point in its loss at Purdue, taking down the Boilermaker's No.
