IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Western Michigan men's tennis gave B1G Iowa a battle Saturday afternoon, but the Broncos ultimately fell 5-2 on the road for the team's first loss of the young season.

After Iowa won the first doubles match of the day, the duo of Daniel Loebel/Kennosuke Nouchi earned a 6-4 win at No. 2 to improve to 5-1 this season and bring the doubles point down to the final match. The Hawkeyes earned a 6-4 win at No. 1 to claim the point.
