KALAMAZOO, Mich.- The Western Michigan men's soccer team defeated Cincinnati on Labor Day 2-0. Senior midfielder Brandon Bye scored in the 14th minute to give the Broncos the lead which they held the rest of the game.
"I'm very happy for our guys today, their attitude and commitment was great for 90 minutes and their reward was victory." Head coach Chad Wiseman said. "Defensively I thought we were able to keep Cincinnati from finding a rhythm. We were locked in on their explosive players and really limited their chances at goal."
Shots came early and often from the Broncos, outshooting the Bearcats 21-5.
