Men's soccer drops close match to MSU 1-0, Senior goalkeeper Shepherd injured

The game met expectations of it being a close game, but ultimately the Michigan State University came out on top, 1-0.

WMU had a couple of great scoring chances early in the first half, including a shot that almost got past MSU junior goalkeeper Jimmy Hague only a few minutes into the contest.

The game moved along smoothly until the minute 32 of the game. The Broncos’ senior goalkeeper Drew Shepherd charged out of his goal for a ball in the box, along with an MSU player. Both players collided with each other, and Shepherd went down, holding his head.
