KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan men's basketball head coach Steve Hawkins and his staff will take part in Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers Awareness Weekend when the Broncos tip off versus Eastern Michigan on Saturday, Jan. 26 at 2:00 p.m.
Hawkins, his coaching staff and support staff members will wear sneakers with their usual game attire during Saturday's game. The Broncos will join with coaching staffs from around the country to raise awareness about the fight against cancer and to promote the American Cancer Society.
Both Western Michigan and Ohio men's basketball on Tuesday participated in the effort to create awareness, wearing suits with gold laced sneakers.
