Western Michigan men’s basketball earned its second consecutive National Association of Basketball Coaches Academic Excellence Award as the NABC announced the award winners on Thursday.
This award recognized every Division I basketball team with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 for the 2019-2020 academic year. WMU was one of four Mid-American Conference schools to win the award this year.
The Broncos posted a 3.28 cumulative GPA this year including a 3.31 GPA for the 2020 spring semester. WMU had a program-record and league-high five players earn Academic All-MAC selections this year.
