KALAMAZOO, Mich.- The Western Michigan men's soccer team ended Alumni Weekend on a high note with a 1-0 victory over Dayton this afternoon. Game-winning goal was scored in the 22nd minute by senior forward Jay McIntosh.

"A shutout victory is a great way to end alumni weekend." head coach Chad Wiseman said. "Dayton is big and athletic with a couple of tricky players who run off their target. For the most part we handled what they threw at us. Our backline and goalkeeper Drew Shepherd had solid performances today."

A defensive battle throughout the first half was broken once McIntosh found the back of the net in the 22nd minute.
