COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) announced its final weekly awards for the 2022-23 regular season, with Western Michigan sophomore forward Max Sasson being named the Forward of the Week.
Sasson was dominant in the two-game series at Miami (OH) this past weekend, notching five goals and two assists. The Birmingham, Mich. native finished the weekend +5. He lit the lamp three times on March 3 and two more times the following night. On Friday, he scored three straight goals to help the Broncos grab a 5-0 victory. The next day, Sasson was key in helping Western Michigan erase a 4-2 deficit late in the third period.
