WALNUT, Calif. – The Western Michigan track and field team wrapped up its first day of competition at the Mt. SAC Relays on Friday evening.
WMU had strong performances in the long jump and the hurdles in the limited action on the day. Junior Erica Sheahan took eighth in the open long jump after reaching a distance of 19' 3.50" (5.88m), an outdoor season best.
In the 100-meter hurdles, junior Erin Dowd tied her personal-best time of 14.25 seconds, missing out no qualifying for the finals along with freshman Taylor Rucker after running a time of 14.
