Lester manages strong recruiting class despite time constraint

Transferring from Rutgers University is sophomore safety turned linebacker, Na’Jee Clayton. Clayton is a player who was possibly slated for a big role at his Big Ten Conference team, but left the football program in mid-September on his own terms while remaining enrolled in classes. Rutgers coach Chris Ash said Clayton’s decision as was due to “personal reasons.” On Jan. 3, Clayton tweeted “Stayed down & never questioned gods [sic] plan… back to doing what I love! #RTB.”

Clayton brings his 6-1, 230 pound frame along with Big Ten experience to the Broncos’ linebacker core. Clayton made eight tackles in eight games for the Scarlet Knights over two seasons.
