He explains his last day on the job and how he was feeling throughout that day.
“It started out I’d say similar, but I knew that this was the end. When I did my last resurfacing of the ice, I think I did it a little slower than I normally would, I guess trying to relish it,” Custer said. “When I got done I went on top on the concourse and looked it all over and I actually took a picture of it. And then when I punched out I actually took a picture of the time clock, and realized that chapter of my life was now closed,” Custer said.
