KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Junior Tracy Kuhle and freshman Melina Lyubomirova of the Western Michigan women's tennis team kept their streak alive and have now won the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Doubles Team of the Week for four straight weeks.
The duo proved their dominance once again, going 3-0 over last weekend including a big-time 6-5 win over Meyers/Metcalf of the Big Ten's Michigan State, the only Western Michigan doubles team to beat one of the Spartans' teams. They followed that up with a 6-4 win over Spindler/Golawska of Cleveland State and a 6-2 win over Burts and Gamboa of Chicago State as the Broncos earned team wins over the Vikings and the Cougars.
