BUFFALO, N.Y. – Western Michigan fifth-year senior forward Bailey Korhorn became the women's soccer all-time leading goal scorer after netting her 26th career goal in a thrilling 4-3 loss at Buffalo on Thursday night.
The record-breaking goal came in the 65th minute to put the Broncos (3-11-0, 1-6-0 MAC) up 3-2. Hannah Redoute played the ball to Korhorn just outside the box and she struck it in stride, kicking it into the bottom-right corner of the net for her sixth goal of the season. The goal surpassed Stephanie Skowneski (2008-11), who she was tied with for the record.
